About the Opportunity:
The person filling this position is a rare individual who values making customers happy above all else (professionally, that is) and will become their advocate internally. The position is partially technical in that they will gain significant expertise in energy efficiency measurement and verification and become expert at using our software.
The person will work with our clients to help them make decisions around energy efficiency. They will also provide support and trouble-shooting for clients using our energy benchmarking software. The person hired for this position will attend regular client meetings in-person, on the phone and online; strong communication skills are essential. Other duties include helping the team understand customer needs and making sure we prioritize them appropriately. It will also involve some light project management of clients to make sure things happen on time.
Primary Duties:
• Help clients work with our software to enter and validate data or make decisions; assist in troubleshooting errors.
• Provide analytic support to the EnergyScoreCards team.
• Assist in preparing charts and graphs and work with our software to help update integrity of data.
• Report- and presentation-writing. The position would require regular internal and external presentations of client progress.
Skills Required:
• Excellent data, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and calm personality, even when dealing with a demanding client
• Sense of humor and / or a creative side.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• General understanding of technical computer issues.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
• Self-motivated and self-organizing. Show initiative.
Skills Preferred:
• Science or Engineering Background, especially work in Sustainability or Energy
• Excellent planning, project and time management skills
• Experience in the real estate, energy efficiency or building operations worlds.
• Science / Engineering / Energy-related background
• Report writing experience
• Ability to work well in a team oriented environment providing ideas and open feedback.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• B.S. or a B.A. undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree desirable but not required.
Compensation:
